SpringeringNovember 20, 2009 Here are two pics of Travvy, me, and the red bicycle, which doesn't have a name yet because no name has come to me. Doesn't Trav have an impressive trot stride?
The Springer really is a cool invention. Travvy is a big guy (72 pounds at last weigh-in) and he can still be distracted by dogs, rabbits, and UPS trucks. The Springer absorbs most of his pulling. My bike has a quick-release seat, though, and these seem to swivel more readily than seats that have to be loosened with a wrench. If my butt's on the seat, it can block the swiveling. We ride on the dirt roads near where I live, a little bit on Old County Road, and some on the bike path. We're up to about two miles. I want to get a speedometer/odometer so I can keep track of how fast and how far, but the bike catalogue I looked at had these high-tech computer versions so I'm still looking.
